SHEQ Coordinator

Daly International is a multi-disciplined consultancy practice working within the Telecoms sector. Working for all the major mobile phone companies, we provide a range of services including Acquisition, Planning, Design and Construction as well as network management and optimisation services.

We are looking for a SHEQ Coordinator to assist Daly International adopt a best practice approach to all facets of health and safety resulting in the maintenance of a strong safety culture, compliance with all SHEQ policies and processes and the overall safety and well-being of all employees.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide high-quality administrative support to the SHEQ Manager as required
  • Maintain various databases & registers to ensure that up to date information on SHEQ is accurately recorded
  • Produce high-quality, accurate & timely reports on various SHEQ related areas
  • Assist in promoting & driving a strong safety culture through an increased emphasis on education, awareness and compliance
  • Assist in auditing SHEQ practices & procedures across various workplaces
  • Provide high-level support to specific project teams to ensure SHEQ activities are completed to a high-standard
  • Work closely with sub-contractors to provide education & support on Daly’s SHEQ requirements, policies & procedures
  • Provide timely information to the SHEQ and other business managers on H&S issues – particularly around sub-contractor compliance
  • Ability to conduct independent research, collate information & produce high quality work outputs such as reports, guidelines & other documents
  • Comfortable in providing timely, accurate advice & recommendations on routine SHEQ matters to both internal & external stakeholders
  • Make  suggestions for continuous improvements to existing work flows/practices, leading to increases in productivity & efficiency
  • Undertake independent research & work autonomously to meet the performance objectives of the role & the department
  • Assist in the review SHEQ policies & procedures in alignment with the organisation’s values & strategic objectives

The successful candidate should be/have:

  • Educated to a minimum of GCSE level or international equivalent
  • NEBOSH qualification highly desirable
  • Experience in QA auditing is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal & written
  • Strong time management & task prioritisation skills
  • Flexible & professional approach to work and be a team player
  • Self-motivated, confident and thorough with good attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
